2000 LS400 Brakes...
Hey guys,
I just bought a 2000 LS400 last Saturday, and I realized that the brakes are a lot softer than my 1991 LS400's brakes. They feel less responsive. Is this common for the newer LS400's?
Thanks,
Asad

No, I have found the brakes on my 2000 LS400 to be infinitely better than on the 90 LS400 I had for almost 14 years. If your brake pedal is low or the braking power seems inadequate, the pads could be worn down near the minimum or you could have a master cylinder or other problem. The gen 1 LS400 brakes were so bad as to be dangerous -in the early 1990's, Road and Track Magazine listed the stopping distance of the LS400 in its "road test summary" as the very longest of any car tested.
