Question XM Radio / Tape Adapter Issue

I moved my XM radio from my SC430 [where it worked fine] into my wife's '98 LS400.

I used the same tape player adapter that was in my SC, but in the LS, I hear a "clicking" noise as well as hear the XM audio. The LS will also play regular tapes, but there is the same noise.

It kind of sounds like the click you hear when a tape reverses, but it is constant. Even when an audio tape is inserted and music is playing.

Can anyone suggest a solution?
Thanks

Spray some silicone lube inside the tape mechanism ,that cured mine as well as it auto reversing constantly and spitting out the adapter.

Really hate to bring up an old thread, but do you spray it inside the tape?

I recently bought a tape adapter to my LS and it clicks like crazy...

There is one more option...Best buy showed me an adapter that went into your antenna-out on the back of your radio...but im not sure if any of you have done something like this or not?
