Is there anyway to tell whether or not the 1998 LS400 I am looking at is equipped w/ air suspension either via the VIN or the trim code?

The dealer I am speaking to has no clue that it was even an option. And the dealership is too far from me to confirm this in person.

I am a newb in the LS world so please help me out.

There should be two buttons next to the shifter. One for the Transmission, and the other for the Air suspension height.

I believe another way would be to look behind the wheels. A regular suspension consist or a shock/strut and a coil spring over it. An air suspension would not have these components but would have an actual air bag basically in between the steering and drivetrain components and the chassis of the car.
