Is This Bad?
I own a 93 LS, I just noticed (because my instrumental panel is unreliable with alerts) my Overdrive has been on for the past month straight....I was wondering why my car was sluggish off the line, now that I took OD off it flys off the line like it should. Is this bad for my transmission or engine to have the OD on for so long? Any knowledge will be appreciated...Thanks in advance!

But you have to manually turn off OD if you don't want to use it. I don't mess around with my OD button much because I figure the computer knows what it's doing and will shift through the ranges as it sees fit.
I say leave it on. LOL. I never knew that turning OD off would make the car faster off the line. When I want serious power, I just use POWER function near the shifter.

I see....good to hear
But, yea...My car was DEFINITELY sluggish off the line, as if it was trying to figure out how to OVERDRIVE in 1st gear, I could feel it slipping around when I first pressed the gas off the line.
Now, I don't feel anything, it just flys....it's a wonderful thing, I was about 2 days away from having a ATF drain/fill done. I still need one, just not as bad as I thought I did before...ha
