Default Just bought a Toyota Celsior...need help

Alright two days ago I went to the junk yard to look for some unrelated item and I saw this guy working on his celsior. It caught my attention cause it had exhaust, skirts and rear balance. Well, I bought an LS400 while I was in Iraq (3months ago) for my wife and I thought the kit would look cool on her car too. I asked the guy where he bought the kit and he replied by saying that it had came with the car. Anywho, he was going to junk the car cause he got this other car for free and this celsior had a BAD AIR SHOCK. Only one! I told him I would buy it like that...I just wanted it for parts any ways. I live in Okinawa and I'll be leaving soon (3months) back to the US so I also thought I could use the car until a little before I leave and then part the hell out of it. I have the shock to replace the blown one, but I don't know if there's anything special that I need to do in order to change it out. DOES ANYONE KNOW IF ITS JUST A TAKE OFF AND BOLT RIGHT ON TYPE OF THING? OR IS THERE MORE TO IT? I'll appreciate any positive replies. Thanks! Oh and BTW, I gave the guy $300 for the car. I will post pics once I clean her out. Later and thanks for looking

damn good price if the car is as it seems. the struts is a pretty straightforward affair but be aware that a single strut will be ~$500-1000

Well, the junk yard I'm getting the strut from is guy I know. He's going to let one go for ¥10000, which is like $88. If it doesn't work, I'll give it back to him and I'll just pick up some parts for the money. Yeah, the car is not that bad for the price. I'll post pics sometime this week.

The reason I asked for help is because I don't know it there was an oil or something that one had to put in it, but if not, should be cake. Thanks for the reply.

FOLLOW THIS LINK and you'll have the full instructions to change the back shocks.

THIS LINK IS FOR THE FRONT SHOCKS

It says 93-94 but it's the same for the previous years too.

Have fun!

I love how disposable the Japanese are about cars. That's why my father runs an import business in Trinidad.

Thanks for the link man. I bought the car from an american.

Here's a pic of the car. You can see how slammed it is in the back. But overall I think I got a decent deal.

Thanks man...I was just at the right place at the right time. The car only has 120K kilometers, so is like less then 100k miles. I'm taking this engine back as a spare for my ls400 back in the states. I'm bringing back a container with me.

Where is this junkyard, and do they have a lot of Celsiors? I'm in the US and would love one of those back seats with all the fancy features.
