Ok Dogg, I've never painted clear lenses like these, but I do understand the chemistry of paint. The reason the CD holder showed bubbles is cause the paint acted as a solvent and the CD case is made of a shorter length polmer than the polycarbonate that the lenses are made of. Additionally surface tension in wet paint is greater than that of dry paint, and wet paint tends to try to dissolve the dry paint. Simply put, spray the paint on the clear, in thin layers taking care to dry each layer between sprayings until you like the color. Additionally be sure you remove any grease etc before you paint. Good Luck.

Try it on a small piece of the new one, or on a piece of the old one. The only way to make an error is to spray too thick, or spray too soon and not let dry.

Do not try the sray paint film guys, the curves ont he LS tailights makes streaks.

Thanks GlobeCLK the Red Tint worked out awesome, easy and simple, cut and paste. Totally awesome I probably have the only tailights in the U.S that are 1/2 red and 1/2 white.
I was gunna go for 2/3 red and 1/3 white, but the half and half combo grabs your attention more.

Total of six panels 3 are red and 3 are white.Totally awesome.

Edogg,
how did you mess up? what kind of paint did you get? mine were fine.. i got the one you can acutally peal off if you mess up. I spayed over the yellow part and it look great, no streak and such. The only thing i didn't like was it was dull, so go with tint.. like you already did. It's shines . well pose some pic for us to see. Tony

Yeah the tint worked excellent even makes the tailights newer kinda like the altezza color. As for pics I will ask some one to take pics of my car at tommorows meet.

I used some japanese kind that you can peel of,but it suck big time.So I went to get some red tint film and it was cheap only $5 for a 1ftx1ft piece which beats the wasted $28 I spent on that stupid spray film. The red tint paper looks real authentic as well you cannot tell unless you are the one who did it.
