Hello all. I new to this Forum. BTW...Great site. I'm buying a 1995 Lexus LS 400 with 66,000 miles for $15,500 from a private owner. I'm pretty excited about this lexus. I was wondering if anyone can offer any comments, pros or cons, before I seal the deal next week. All records seem to be in order: vin #, and scheduled maintenance. It's not the color that I would like (drak grey with grey interior) but I would hate to pass this deal up.

Thanks for any comments you can offer.

PS..attached Picture...is not the car, but it's the same color and year.

aad2534,$15500 is a good price for a 95 LS400.Make sure it has been matained well. The tuneup service is not due up until 90,000 miles so if the car runs fine,it looks like a bargain.

Agreed, $15,500 is an excellent price for a '95 LS400 with 66k miles.

Just one word of caution. I know you said the photo is not the exact car, but I couldn't help but notice Texas tags on it, suggesting you might be looking at a Texas car. Please beware that in the recent (June 9) flood in Houston that news reports claim as many as 60,000 cars were damaged with upwards of 20,000 of those deemed a total loss.

If the car is from Houston, I would insist on an affidavit from the seller certifying that the car is not a flood salvage vehicle. It's been long enough since the flood that salvage cars are going to start showing up here and there. You don't want one of those at any price.

Smile Thanks for the valuable input

Point well taken on Texas Vehicle warnings. This particular vehicle is from Florida and the maintenance records and vin# support that. I'll be sleeping a little better knowing it.

I must say that I'm truly impressed with the quality of the ride. It's certainly the most quite vehicle that I've ever driven.

Thanks again, I look forward to further dialogue on this forum.

Tony
