I am going to get cleartailights as well for my LS,but i do not want them clear.I have asked Hiro for some from Junction Produce and he said you do not want to know,to expensive.

So what i need to a type of spray that will make the cleartailights red.

Which is the best type?
How many times should i spray it to make it dark enough and not make it to dark?

I could recall LS400in520 told me,but i forgot which one.

i forget which brand i've used but go to any hobby store and they'll have transparent red. it must be transparent for the light to be visible, but you might also want to add clear coat for the added shine (have to warn you though, if you do not sand the original lights, the paint tends to fade. but i'd rather repaint than risk messing up my tail lights from sanding. hope this helps.

Yeah right about the clearcoat part Sypkedawg,It would look ugly with a dull red color.

Edogg,
Two ways to go.. I just red out my whole back lights except for the back up lights.. i Use a japanese spray, which is great. The thing that is so speical is that you can peal it off if you like. I pealed if of once alredy just to see if it acutally works, and yup it does. Kool... Just spray on and if you don't like peal off. I payed 21 plus change. great stuff. Still have a little left. I was going to get black and do just the stripe in the middle black, but they didn't have the peal type so i don't want it to stay perminate if it looks ugly.. When i find a black paint that can peal then i'll try it.
Second is to use tint. If you want the glossy look, go with tint. They sell red tint, so that's great. I've heard that's it hard to put on hte lens, but it's gloss like heck, but you have to be very carful about cutting or it will look wack.

oh.. where are you getting your lights.. I remember checking that OBX is the only company that i know of. The good things is that a while back, like a couple of months, they told be that the clear for the LS400 have been on blowout. They said they only want cost for it, but the cost they said was close to 300...I was like what the... Anyways, you should be able to get a really good price on it, they over over 200 units and no one wants it.
