Default noisey suspension

ih, i'm driving a 1990 LS400 and have a rattling noise coming from the front suspension when driving over bumps, bad roads( no shortage of them in Ireland). having replaced both worn bottom ball joints the problem still exists. any ideas ???? ta

either bad strut mounts or they are not tightened up enough inside the engine bay.

upper mounts and bearings or worn rubber under the spring

After replacing the stock suspension with new shocks/springs I've had this problem with my front passenger side as well. I get rattling noises at lower speeds over bumpy surfaces. There are sometimes grinding noises as well when braking and sounds as if something may be loose. Any thoughts?

^ I'm getting noises from the front driver side going over bumpy surfaces. Anyone know what I should replace or look at when I install new Bilstein/HR Springs? I have a 2000 Lexus LS400.

Is it rattling or more like a clunk? A clunk would more likely strut rods. A good test is to drive it slowly and slam on the brakes. If it 'clunks' it's your strut rods.

Im on the same boat.. I am inclining as shot upper ball joints... as they sound when turning... lower ball joints and tie rods are new... Front shocks are new also.. springs are the same...

Everytime i go over a bump it will sound and if i turn the steering wheel they sound also...

Sometimes a cracking sound when going over bumps.
