I am glad to find this forum. I have been on LS forum and found very little activities.
I bought my 98 LS400 as a CPO. Cannot afford the new one. In addition, I like the square shape of the 98 better than the new LS430. The LS400 looks more substantial and bigger than LS430, although they are the same.
I have never owned a Lexus before. My commute car is a supercharged 4Runner. With over 250 HP, my 4Runner is pretty fast off the line. But when I first got into my LS400, then I knew how slow my 4Runner was compared to 300 HP LS400. Only one complain, LS400 took away the driver's feeling - no exhaust sound, too smooth, too much automation. My wife loves it. I still like to drive my slower 4Runner with Borla exhaust that I can hear the supercharger working.
I like to customize my vehicles. LS400 is all stock and plain now. I will learn from many of you in the future on how to make my LS400 different from the others.

Boy, I would love to see your 4Runner! I'll bet it is a joy with the supercharger whine and borla exhaust. Better watch the LS, it's a quiet beast
