Well like a bit from evrey model.
1st generation i like the rear tailights and how much wider and longer they look, also they have the yellow foglights in the middle.
I like the 3rd gens headlights.
I like the 2nd gens bodylines.
I like the 4th gens power of the engine and interior.

Just to simplify and make things easier (and a little correction), here's a little "conversion" chart...when you look at JDM parts, they don't refer to cars by what generation or year, they go by the maufactures designation code...makes it easier...
1st generation 90-94 = UCF10/11
2nd generation v1 95-97 = UCF20/21 MC Before
2nd generation v2 98-00 = UCF20/21 MC After
3rd generation 01 up = UCF30/31
All the "1" designations (11/21/31) means the car has air suspension....and MC means Minor Change
At any rate, I like all of them, but I think the UCF20/21 MC Before (2nd Gen v1) is the best value. You get all the new features w/o the price premium of the MC After model...and the UCF20/21 MC Before looks great with a nice body kit. Personally, I like it better than a fixed up UCF20/21 MC After...I just wish it had factory HIDs...
The UCF30/31 LS's (LS430) are very, very nice...looks tight with a body kit too...

Exterior style I prefer the 3rd generation. To me the first is sort of Camryish, but stylish, and the 2nd is very boring.
Interior I prefer the 4th with the 3rd close behind. The first's interior looks very outdated and the 2nds, though similar to the 3rds, looks rather stark without the extra wood.
In 90 when I traded my 87 Chrysler Fifth Avenue I almost got the LS400, but couldnt cut a good deal on it, and being in the paper business and doing work with labor unions its very frowned on to drive a foreign car, so I got into a Lincoln Continental. Traded it in 93 for another one, traded that in 95. In 95 I went and looked at the LS400, but never even drove one because I found the exterior so boring. I wound up in a Cadillac STS. In 98 when I tried the LS again, I just fell in love. Perfect car for me, elegant but understated, and supermly comfortable and smooth.
As for the LS430, I love the car, and will get one in 2003 when my company allows me to trade (they own the LS400 now) but I simply do not care for the interior. Back and sides are okay, but the front end is just hideous. It looks like it has 4 chins. Hopefully it'll recieve a facelift in 03.

Really I think that the only thing that needs to be reshaped is the front end, it makes the whole car look fat. The odd triangular headlights gotta go, and the grille needs to be smaller. They have a whole VW passat thing going there that is just not good.
They also need new wheels desperately. I cant understand why on earth they would go from a machined finish to a painted wheel like that. The wheels on my LS400 are much better looking than anything that comes on the LS430. I'm not a fan at all of chrome so what I was going to do was have a set of 2000 LS400 Platinum Edition wheels put on it.
