Exclamation fuel pump problem?

okay so i have some bigs plans for my car and i was just about to start when my car started acting up. During normal driving the RPMs might just dropp and i might give it some more gas and nothing will happen then it will jolt back up and go again just to continue to do the same. I have no idea whats wrong, its not the gas and its been happening alot lately

if anyone knows whats wrong could u please let me know. if it is the fuel pump and if i need to replace it ,no problem.

My situations with the fuel pump is it either works or isn't. One instance I did have in another car was the car would seem to stop and resume running...that lasted about 10 seconds before the pump quit completely.

Some other thoughts:

throttle body and linkage
plug along with ignition wire/s
ignition rotor/s
MAF
ignitor/s
battery cable loose
fuel filter...

Any warning lights lit up on the dash when this occurs?

look at it at this order
MAF
throttle body
fuel filter

if it was the ignition rotor, ignitor or loose batt cable it would happend all the time
