Lightweight disc combo's?

Lightweight disc combo's?
Does anyone offer a two piece brake rotor assembly that will fit in the stock configuration? Kinda curious as I will be replacing the brake rotors soon and if there is an opportunity to save some weight with a quality set-up, it may be a consideration.

Brembo
How about Brembo. I believe for the 2-piece one you probably save 5 lb on each wheel/brake, so you save total of 20 lbs for F & R, but it's a little bit pricy.

Which rim?

Brake goodies especially those with "Brembo" tend to get $$$. I'll make some inquiries and see. I dunno if a full brake upgrade is soemthing I want but I'm open. (it will take a bit to save up.)
When I started eyeing the LS400, I liked the Carlsson 1/6 or 1/6 EVO which is quite conservative and about $400 each. I haven't priced the Wald so I dunno what that may get me...I think that one is a 2 piece rim with forged center.
I've just started thinking about wheels yet I've long thought the 1/6 style to be most appealing. It's been done up the yahoo as seen in the mags however I like it even though. Welcome to suggestions though.

Carlsson???
Carlsson 1/6 is 1-piece so cheap $400/ea but 1/6 Evo is forged (look at the lip) so "MAY" cost over $1K each and only available in 20" like Wald. Personally I feel a little bit weird, you are the 2nd person I know trying to put the MB wheels on the LS I saw Brabus on LS, now you wanna do Carlsson on LS Bolt patterns are different and you need to drill the holes on the disk, it gonna harm your LS!!! If you are planning to reduce the weight, then you must LOVE performance and Carlsson will definitely not the kind I will recommend. BTW, just for your referrence, a set of new 18" Wald D21 will cost you $2K+shipping. Good luck.

I debated the Benze thing on the LS. From what I've read, Carlsson abandoned the Lexus market and I don't know if they have dropped out from the Japanese market. Some of my old VIP Car mags show a Carlsson equipped Celsior.
I have considered some forged wheels like: http://www.bozeforged.com/wheels.htm
Or some Boyd's
I'm gonna be by Carson Toyota tomorrow so I hope to talk with Steve of one of the other guys about some wheels. Also considered some mesh type...Algernon I think has a mesh style. Also like the Racing Hart C5...lots of choices. If I get a nice light wheel, the brake becomes a lower priority in weight savings.

Yeh, C5.
Thanks for your info on Carlsson.
Check the link, sorry not my style. Since it's the forum, no offense to any user at all, from the Asian point of view, those wheels are ugly and I won't even consider to put any one of them on my Hummer.
Maybe I saw too many Japanese magazines on Celsior, just too many good looking rims in Japan. I am importing several sets and will put on my car. After I do it (if by then you still haven't found a good one), you can check it out as your referrence. I'm in LA too. Good luck man. Let me know what Carson Toyota will suggest you - I am kind of curious on what they can do for the aftermarket parts.
