It's nice that you have control from the front seat. My question is, if you set both sides to "heat" wouldn't they go on automatically everytime you start the car ???
My LS is a '10 and every time you start the car you need to hit the control button for the rear heated/cooled seats to come on. The control button resets to off every time you stop the car.

The front switch for the rear seats heating acts as a toggle, the equivalent of pressing or releasing (activating or deactivating) the seat warmer controls on the rear console. The heat level depends on how those controls on the rear console are set. If your rear seats are climate-controlled, not just heated, it works the same way, although the front switch for the rear sets will display a climate fontrol symbol instead of a heating symbol.
At least, this is how I understand it.
Edit: thanks for setting me straight, dlbuckls10! I didn't realize the rear seats climate controls had to be turned on again whenever you restarted the car.
