Lowering factory air car by adjusting links?
Has anyone actually had success lowering their car's air suspension by adjusting the factory links? I've read all the posts and there isn't much info out there. A couple people reported doing it, but not a lot of info about how much it drops the car. I don't want to drop a grand on a controller since I don't want to raise and lower it at will, just want to drop the car about an inch from the stock sport suspension.

One CLer found a software rather than a hardware solution (see below). I am checking with my indy shop whether they can do this for me. There is also a request to Carista to include height adjustment as a customization option in their app, but I am not holding my breath.
I used Toyota techstream software on my laptop and the "set reference height" utility to drop my 2007 LS 460L about 1.5", I can use the height high button on the console to bring it back to what used to be stock height. disengaging the height high button then drops it back down.

Yeah the techstream way would be ideal. My Indy shop uses a SnapOn tool and they checked but it doesn't have access to the air suspension settings. I'd rather not mess with the links but don't want to spend the dough on a controller. I've read all the threads and info seems thin on actually dropping the car without the $1000 controller.

I agree completely. I wouldn't mess with the mechanicals either or spend $1000 on the controller. My indy shop should have an answer for me next week. So, I am a novice, but is the SnapOn tool similar to Techstream? I guess Techstream would be absolutely needed to access the air suspension settings in a Toyota vehicle. I doubt if my Toyota dealer will help me out with this for liability concerns.

Yeah, the Snap On scan tools can be in the thousands of dollars but are made to work on many different make of vehicles. Apparently the air suspension can only be accessed with the Toyota Techstream tool.
I have the Carista app and dongle. I'd be willing to pay an extra fee if they'd figure out the suspension and offer the upgrade. Like you not holding my breath.
I would almost rather convert the air suspension to adjustable coilovers instead of paying the "G" for the datastream controller.
