Ohhhhhh my. yikes. Reminds me of some of the fake domestic convertibles from the 80's like this one: http://www.curbsideclassic.com/curbs...-to-pitchfork/
Who the heck at Lexus thought this was a good idea???!!!

Someone ruined what was a beautiful LS. Each to their own. Thumbs down for me.

with an LS if the control arms are good and there's no hesi' I'll buy it
If the roof matched the interior, and was flat (no sim convertibles), relocate the antenna fin, and add 3-piece wheels...:I would give it a thumbs up. A tad gaudy but that's ala mode today.
Add: Whoever did the roof should have brought the material all the way down the "A" pillars imho

It even has a Lexus logo on it! At first I just assumed it was photo shopped.

It probably cost a pretty penny to whomever had this done, although I would rip it off if I were trying to sell it, assuming there aren't rivet holes or adhesives that ruined the paint.
Even then, getting the roof re-vinyled in a more modern black vinyl wrap would be easier on the eyes instead of that 80's style vinyl roof lol. But hey, taste is subjective so maybe Carmax left it on for that one buyer.

I am not a fan of that look either. However, here is some perspective.....
If it weren't for the buyer demographic that likes this sort of thing then many of us would not have our low mileage, used LS sedans. The vinyl roof crowd made the LS the success that it is and continue to do so. Consider this the "AARP Body kit". This guy probably purchased his LS460 new and then "modded" it to his taste. Compare that to a much younger guy buying a high mileage, used LS and then lowering it with airbags or coilovers, mounting stretched tires on 20-inch wheels to get the right "stance" to ensure that his wheels "tuck".
The vinyl roof guy is someone's grandfather who worked hard to be able to retire in West Palm Beach, Florida. Any one of us may be driving his hand-me-down LS.
Respect your elders.... Be nice......and most of all.... Be thankful.
