My system is loud enough to make my ears bleed. I can play any media at 53+ level without distortion and it's LOUD. I agree with the others here.....what are you trying to accomplish??? Are you asking for more thumping bass?

Y'all said exactly what I was thinking. I know people like loud music but louder than the ML can do would just be painful.
If that's what you really want, the easiest and cheapest solution is to take out the ML system and install your own SPL-optimized amps, subs, and other speakers. Your system almost certainly won't sound as good, unless you spend a whole lot of time and money, but if you are really focused on loudness you can pick your equipment with that in mind.

For some "louder" means better, disregarding all the other details. The ML makes my rear view mirrors vibrate and sounds sooooo well balanced and crystal clear. Truly a "Reference System".

If you are sourcing from your phone or aux device be sure to turn up the device volume.
For any source you can adjust the Treble/Mid/Bass. While I do not personally like to
over emphasis these settings you can certainly jack them up to raise the output volume.

Louder?....... Why??
Remove the ML system and sell it here on CL then go to the car audio guy located in da hood and have him fill the trunk with subs, cooling fans, batteries, caps and amps....... Buy some adult diapers and enjoy the bass at high volume.

This is a forum and some members will ask questions that makes us wonder WHY? I suggest getting a new sound system from some audio shop if you want more loudness and distortion. The ML system is one of the best factory systems available and it's remarkable in my opinion.

Looks like the OP edited the question this morning but it's still extremely vague.
What's "louder"? You need more SPLs? You can't hear anything coming out or a speaker? All the speakers? In which location? All seats? Because again unless you're a super hero or have a blown amp that system is plenty loud.
I'm all for helping someone out but your question is rather odd.

Popular Mechanics did a breakdown of the world's 10 best car stereos and the LS came in 3rd. Only the Panamera's Burmester system and Mercedes optional Bang and Oluffsen beat out the ML. I've read similar reports from Audiophile magazines and other sources. Because quality reference systems like ours are acoustically tuned to our cars, they will almost always sound better than a high end home system.
