HID in fog lamps
Hey guys ,
So i have this itch going on to install HIDs in fog lamps , i want to go for 12000k color , just for show though ,
Any recommendations for which brand ?
I understand its the 9006 bulbs , but which watts should it be 35w or 55w .
Also how do i run the fogs and nike lights Independanatly ?

From what I've read Kensun on Amazon seems to get great reviews and many have purchased the product.
XenonDepot and a few others rank high as well, just a bit more costly.
I believe 35W is what the OEM systems can properly handle without fuses repeatedly blowing, if a higher wattage would function at all.
Regarding running your fogs and corner lights independent of the DRL (I assume that's what your speaking of), it will require you to do some re-wiring of the fogs.
Shibumi1 did this on his LS flawlessly.

If your looking for any additional information, go into the sticky area and scroll to the lighting section.
Good luck

Regardless of which HID kit you decide to go with, don't go with 50W HID kits. Most vendors (Maybe all) simply pair a 50W ballast with a 35W bulb. The 50W bulbs end up overdriving the 35W bulbs, which means that the bulb will burn hotter, burn out prematurely, and also produce more glare (bigger arc).
Obviously I'm biased, but here is a link to the 9006 replacement bulbs & HID kits we carry.
