Definitely right. That's why I went with 20's with no lip.

When my 20's were on, they looked like 18s. Even had people ask me if they were 18s. I've always liked having a bit of a lip. Problem with my wheels was probably the fact they were step lipped 20's making the face even smaller. I'm on 22's now, ride isn't that different from what I had before.

Thanks for the input I never thought about this aspect, I found some Wald wheels that the spokes meet the lip of the wheel that I like.

Agreed, at least when lookinig at my rear lip. I have a staggered setup. Thing is, I get so many compliments on the wheels, I just can't bring myself to changing them. They look so different from any factory wheel, which I want. The illusion of a smaller wheel though, only seems to be noticable when looked at from the side. When looking form the rear or front, it seems larger.

yup for 20" you have to go with a one piece mono look. This way it looks bigger than it is.
22" look way too big for this LS body style.
20" mono look, lowered on tanabe and possibly a wald lookalike front lip will be plenty enough.
I've decided, I'm getting a LS460. Best value for the money right now. I can't believe the BS and problems associated with european cars.
