I'm still surprised to hear of some who have pinstripes. It's so 1970's. IMHO, it ruins the clean lines of a car and is distracting. It'd be the first thing I'd adress if it were my ride. I haven't seen any Lexus' with pinstripes up here in Canada (LS's or otherwise).

You're looking for pictures of a black LS460 without pinstripes? All you have to do is google "black LS460". Now, if you were looking for a picture of a black LS460 with pinstripes that would be harder to find.
Which is it?

Let me first say that I hate pin strips. My car has them and I think it is a regional thing as I have seen it on just about every LS 460 I test drove. They are not bad because it looks like modern version of the pinstripe and it's understated. If I felt that it sticks out or takes away from the body lines I would remove them in a heart beat.
I also hate carriage tops as well because they look disgustingly ugly but I have one that was already on the car and it works because it's black on Starfire Pearl with a black interior. It almost looks like a high end convertible and not gaudy because the top is muted high end fabric. These are two items that are not suppose to work that I hate with a passion on other cars but they do.

Where abouts in MD are you Dev? I've rarely ever seen an LS460 or any Lexus here with pinstripes, and I've never seen one with a carriage top.

It's the only one of it's kind that I have seen and when I taken the car to Lexus of Rockville the employees were all over it because they never seen a carriage top. They also thought the combination was tastefully done. The 19" five spoke wheels just works with the whole ensemble.
From the service history it seems as if the top was put on by the dealer where it sat for a few months. I'm guessing it was a showroom car that someone snapped up.
In a way I have regrets because it gets way more attention then I would like. It's clearly a Florida car.

My '10 LS have pinstripes and I assume it came from the factory that way. The pinstripes are thin and barely noticeable. I like the way it enhances my car.

Yeah I'd love to see some pictures of it. Lots of pinstripes and carriage tops in FL...
