Are you doing it correctly? You need to be stepping on the brakes (lightly) at the same time too, FYI. An LSD will Always do its' thing fast enough, unless you don't know what you're talking about or have never owned/driven one.

Totally not necessarily. There are very many diff car makes/models that will not list this on the window sticker or even specs. There's a possibility the same can be said for a very limited produced, special edition, Lexus trim, like the MY12 LS460 SE.

That goes without saying. But if i didn't post that link it too would be pure subjective opinion by your decree.

Fair enough and I stand corrected. The "spin one wheel test" doesn't work with a torsen (I totally forgot - I haven't been "into cars" since the late '90s/early'00s); but the trick/test does work for every other LSD (vlsd, clutch, mechanical, etc.). Majority of factory cars use vlsd (of course there are some with torsen too though). And majority of race cars use clutch.

If you want to be more technical, it isn't a true LSD because it doesn't "limit" any "slip" and always needs both wheels on the ground to work properly. It is more of a torque biasing differential(ATB), which is basically a different type of open diff. It mimics an LSD.

There are obviously pros and cons to each type of LSD. Start your own thread if you want to get into it. Stop hijacking and changing the topic.

This thread is closed.

I'm going to suggest you both add each other to the ignore list feature; I strongly suggest this type of thing not spill over into future threads.
