Side Mirror out of alignment
this is hard to explain
my right side mirror is out of alignment. the whole mirror unit snaps into place appropriately but is not aligned properly
this is not the control in the car - it works fine. moving the mirror up or down or sideways works properly.
for example - when you lock the car and the whole mirror unit moves appropriately and when the car is unlocked it moves appropriately, but the unit is not aligned properly.
i wish i could explain it better.
anyway - anyone know how to fix it so that when it snaps into place it is aligned properly?

I think he's talking about the problem where the mirror head is "loose" while in the extended position. Sounds like his are loose enough that they're not fully extending when he unlocks the car.
Mine have the same problem, but so far, they move all the way out into proper alignment.
I do notice they "jump" when I encounter really rough surface streets, but they're steady on the freeway which is where I rely upon them the most, so I'm ok with the problem - for now.
I don't know if there's a "fix" for the "floppy mirror problem" other than a new actuator assembly.
I've tried to find the part on Lexus.SewellParts.com for 2010, but the parts list comes up blank. The actuator shows available for 2013-2014 (they're ordered based on the body color of the car) and are about $350 with our CL discount. My 2007 doesn't show anything other than the entire mirror assembly being available for $561 with CL discount.
Not a solution, but maybe this points you in the right direction.

here are 2 pictures
1st picture shows where the mirror 'locks/snaps" into place
2nd picture shows where the mirror should be "locked/snaped" into place
anyone know how to adjust the mirror housing so that the mirror locks/snaps into place in the proper place
its like its out of alignment

finally got around to getting this fixed at the dealer. I figured a few hundred bucks for the fix.
To my surprise it was $961.00. Good thing i had the extended warranty. Cost me nothing.

Its funny, this reminds me of when I accidently bump my mirror while walking by the car in the garage and it gets off alignment. I fold the mirrors in with switch, and they line back up. There have been two occasions, once on my old 460 and once on my 600 that the mirrors fold too far in and actually push up on the window. The tolerances cannot be adjusted and both assemblies were replaced via warranty

Mine folds out all the way, but sometimes I see it correct itself and move. Only my drivers mirror. I'll have to bring it up while its still under warranty
