AVS & VGRS and Height High Options
I drove a friends 2010 LS460 AWD yesterday for about 300 miles. It had the Adaptive Variable Air Suspension (AVS) the Variable gear Ratio Steering (VGRS) and Height High Options. I see these were standard on the 2010 LS600h L, LS460 AWD and the LS 460 L AWD. They were an option on the 2010 RWD LS460 L. How many folks driving the RWD LS 460 L regardless of year have these options? I do not have these options on our 2010 LS460 L.
I found the sport setting rather rough and the comfort setting quite nice. The friend keeps it set in the middle normal position mostly because she does not know what it does. I pushed the Height High button and a light appeared on the dash. This reminded me of the air suspension on my fathers 1995 Cartier Lincoln Town Car. Nice ride but you could hear the little air compressor ever now and then and when it was parked in the garage you could hear the compressor keeping it pumped up once a day.

I have these options on a 2012 RWD LWB. The height button raises the car by an inch to clear curbs, potholes etc. Once the car is travelling > 25mph it goes down to normal height. I tend to leave the car in comfort mode as I prefer that to sport mode.
