Manheim auction prices
From time to time auction prices for LS460's have been posted in this forum (i.e. a list of cars sold by year, mileage, color, condition, price). Does anyone have a recent list?
Thanks

I have been chasing this LX 460 for three months now at the Manheim auction Ocowee just out side of Orlando. I can tell you they are going for 63 to 65 thousand for a 2013. But they are rough. I cant belive how some one can destroy a car with 3000 to 9000 miles on them.Curb rash on the wheels , Front bumper under neath tore up. Heavy stains on the seats and on and on. I pulled the trigger for a 2014 brand new pretty loaded up for $72,000. im happy right colors and options.Dealers are keeping the cream puffs. The rough cars are going to the auction.

Joe,
If it's not too much trouble, I'm looking for 08-09 RWD Comfort Plus w/rear package & ML nav. SWB or LWB, doesn't matter....less than 60k miles. Colors would be the issue - Noble Spinel, Truffle Mica, Verdigris Mica, Smokey Granite Mica. My dealer is looking, but says they're very limited right now. They seem to think that they will find one this month, due to the 'December to Remember' push. Auction pricing would be a great help, though I think that I have a good handle on what they're running right now - around 24-27k last I checked. Any auction or Black Book info you can offer would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks - Ryan

Hey Ryan... Maybe you can answer a question that I posted yesterday..... How did you get your dealer to cooperate in trying to find a car for you? Is that something all dealers will do? I'd like to try that approach when I buy next year, but I am unsure of how to get the dealer's cooperation in finding a car elsewhere in the country and getting it to me. Thanks for any help. **** (Los Angeles)

Thanks to Jamodeo! I will check out what you have posted after I finish this post.
LaNewsboy - I have a unique situation where my GS is failing due to recall work. My dealer did the valve spring and piston recall twice and now I have failing cylinder compression, causing extensive burning of oil. They want $13k to fix the motor, but the car is only worth $8K in excellent condition - more like >$4k in the condition it sits with the issue. Car has 205k mi so fixing is not an option, but more to the point - it should not be my responsibility. The car did not burn oil to the extent it is before the recall work. Cats have failed, ect.
That being said, any dealer should work with you in locating the car you desire. I want specific options and specific color. If I am going to pay a large amount of money (for me) for a vehicle, it damned well be what I want. That is their job, so to speak. It will take time, or you can do the legwork yourself and go to whatever dealer has what you are looking for. I know it took me a few months to find my GS, and I happened to luck across it by randomly calling the dealer. Friends have taken up to 6 months locating cars with specific options, so it can be a process. I do not think that 'anywhere in the country' is an option, but I do look at the Lexus website at their certified preowned vehicles to see if there is anything close. From what I understand, the dealers do not communicate between themselves, and are reluctant to exchange inventory.
As my situation develops, I will be happy to keep you posted as to how the process unfolds.
