Just snapped a quick photo in my office parking lot before heading out to lunch on a gloomy day here in the Midwest!

Got the dent fixed. I still feel like an idiot not for asking for a picture until the day I was driving to Charlotte to buy it, but took his word that it was "so minor I never bothered to do anything about it".

If only that was the case as the dent had gone through the paint and as located on the lip of the deck lid. Thank goodness my older brother is an insurance adjuster who used to manage multiple body shops so I had some ins in terms of getting a good deal. Would have cost me around $1400 otherwise as they needed to both repair the dent and repaint the entire trunk.

Looking good, Jungle! Where's the dent ? It would have been nice to see before and after pics.

Good call.

As you can see from the "expert" sticker covering, the dent was actually pretty deep. He backed into a mailbox. How considering the sensors would have been going crazy I will never know. Looked better after I at least covered where the paint was rubbed off by using touch up paint, but that dent drove me nuts every time I came up to the car. Not to mention, the rest of the exterior and the interior are practically perfect.

Thanks brother. The place I took it to is truly first rate and is the only place my OCD older brother would deem worthy to have one of his cars worked on. A side benefit of having the dent fixed and them needing to paint the lid is that the PO was bad about leaving his briefcase or whatnot on the top of the trunk and there were deep scratches on the deck lid.

The way I justified it in my mind is that most used cars need all manner of things like tires whereas this one had been spared nothing in terms of recommended maintenance and had tires and brakes just done prior to sale. Best $890 I have spent since I purchased the car.

I rolled over 77,777 miles yesterday! Hope my luck continues with this car!

Lot's of people on the forum are fearful of the dreaded $5K LS600hL Hybrid Battery failure, but so far, the only repair required has been an EGT Sensor, which was covered fully by the CPO warranty. I dearly love driving this car and hope to have another 3 years of fully warranted bliss...

Riknchar,

What are those funky icons on your display? The one above the temp looks like the moon... Oh, never mind , I see that the left is the engine, the right the wheel, and the one below, the battery. I kept thinking the wheel looks like a smiley face LOL

looks good. I would have em redo the emblems though, they're not in the right spots, they're too high off the lower edge of the trunklid (one of those things that really bugs me)

Good eye. Part of me wish you hadn't noticed it, but both the "Lexus" and "LS 460" are noticeably higher than standard. I will call them tomorrow. Hopefully the adhesive from when they originally put the new ones on will not leave a mark,
