How to remove "ground effects" from Sport Edition?
Is there any way to remove the "ground effects" piece that is on the lower part of the rear bumper of the LS 460 SE? It looks like its mostly double sided adhesive. I just bought this car but that piece really bothers me.

Wow really? I think it looks great! You could try prying it back a little and spray a bunch of that "goo gone" to help weaken the adhesive or even a steamer with a mini spray nozzle to soften the glue..but that may not work.. are there any hidden screws holding that on?
I found this diagram, maybe this helps a little (from http://www.trademotion.com/parts/201...iagram=8932620)

I believe the piece you are referring is not removable. According to the pic above, it looks to be attached to the main rear bumper. I also looked at my 07' bumper and I the black ground effects attached. I can't seem to find a way to remove it either.

Is this the piece that is sort of dull black? I've seen some folks have that primed and painted to look more glossy like the rest of the paint, but I haven't noticed the setup on the LS Sport that much..I'll look at it next time I see one.
EDIT: I must be thinking about part #6 in the diagram, which doesn't wrap around

On the Sport edition there is an add-on skirt (like in the picture). It just looks a bit tacky to me. It looks better in the picture than it does in person. It's kind of like what Toyota puts on the Camry and Corolla sport packages. I don't like it on my LS. I think it's double-sided tape but I'll find out for sure at my dealer tomorrow. Thanks for the replies though.
