mileage question for 2007 LS460
Hi all,
I'm dealing with a 2007 Ls460, the thing is, it's has super low mileage ( 10k), the owner told me, with this kind of car, no one can cheat the mileage by changing the cluster because the mileage record is stored in some kind of computer box too, I know that happened with newer Bmw and Mercedes or Audi, please tell me if its truth with this Lexus too.

It's probably not impossible to turn back the odometer, or replace the instrument cluster, but either option would be both difficult and expensive.
I guess the best way for the owner to prove it didn't happen is to provide the service records. Even with low miles he should have changed the oil at least once per year. If he didn't, I'd probably stay away from the car any way.
Let us know what happens.

Lexus Test Driver
The proof is in the pudding.... if he had it serviced there would be a way to check in the lexus database.. So my question is for the mileage to be at 10k is he marking up the price or is it a great price. It is worth a shot to get it checked out I am sure if the dash has been changed you there should be a way to tell, maybe the dealer???
