I installed two 12s and an amp. Both no name brand stuff I had laying around.
Picking up a remote from the trunk is very smart. I didn't think of that. I got my remote from the cigerrete lighter fuse located in the passenger foot well.

factory ML amp is on the passenger side of the trunk (on the floor beneath the trim panel right of the spare tire..) u'll need a 10mm socket to remove the tie down latches an a flat head screw driver to pry up the clip.. the ground for the amp is a wht/blk an constant 12v is blk.. they are the heavier gauge wires in the plug closest to the wheel well.. the factory sub wire colors are (+/-)ea (black-yellow(1) & white-red(2))
Thanks for this wiring info.
I'm still a bit confused though. I'm trying to wire in an AudioControl LC2i LOC and aftermarket amp. I've been told it's best to tap into the wires before the factory amp.
Which is the remote wire for the aftermarket amp?
Could someone please break down the specific wires I need to tap to achieve my amp install?
Is there a wiring diagram for the factory amp online somewhere? I can't seem to find one.

Good lord. I give up on this today.
There are two thicker black wires and two thicker white with black stripe wires going into the amp.
I've tapped into all of them and still can't get power to my amp.
If anyone knows which wires I should be tapping I would greatly appreciate the help for tomorrow. I'm clearly doing this all wrong lol
