Trunk Capacity is REALLY POOR in 460L with Rear Seat Upgrade
I have a 2004 LS 430 Ultra. Trunk capacity, with rear air conditioner system is 17.5 cubic feet. The trunk capacity for the 460L with rear seat upgrade package (most will come with that option) is ONLY 12 CUBIC FEET. That is HORRIBLE. That is a deal breaker for me. I'm getting the SWB with 18 cubic feet trunk space.

It makes you wonder how little space will be in the
LS600hL's trunk once they put the hybrid battery back there too.
If the 460L is equipped with the executive package and the CEO is in the recliner seat having a Shiatsu massage then the front passenger seat reconfigures for extra space. This makes it a LWB three passenger rear entertainment system (9 in. DVD) with beverage cooler...

12 cu. feet is fine with us as long as it can hold about 2 to 3 golf bags worth of luggages. I think beverage cooler & rear air conditioner is more important than trunk space for our purpose We always fly for longer distance . . .

Honestly if you want a car to carry you and all your luggage save your money or get a nice huge bank loan to buy a Maybach.
Honestly no clue why you should care whats in the trunk, if your driving the car and your the only person that will be in it.
Plus if your just driving around, no use for putting stuff in the trunk anyways.

Lexus.com says 12.7cu ft, I could've sworn it was smaller than that
Edit: N/m, I see that they were lazy and just copied the info from the regular GS.
Edit2: Lexus Canada says 8.1 cu. ft.

Little Trunk
Can somebody post a few pictures of this 'little' LS460 trunk that has become a big issue please.
Preferebly with a couple of golf bags or luggage to give a better indication as it is sometimes difficult to get the sense of depth from photos.

YES PLEASE POST PICS OF THE LS460L trunk space in the version that has the rear seat upgrade!!!!! (with some luggage in it, preferably).
If reasonable, I will get the 460L. If not, then the SWB is for me.

If you want a big trunk, don't get the rear seat upgrade package, think about how often you need to put a lot stuff in the trunk.
For me, it's not a big issue, we don't drive long distance to travel anymore, so even 12 cu.ft. is fine with us.
When we travel & need to go to the airport, no car would be good enough for the luggages anyway, we usually call a taxi van to take us to the airport.
