Ipad to aux in via bluetooth
#16
Beside the Blackberry Gateway or kensington, what other adapter has no internal battery (don't want to have to turn it on everything time) and can pair with more than one device? I'm looking for something with no button so that it won't get turned off if it moves around in the console. For this car, does it make a difference in terms of sound quality if the adapter is BT v3 or v4?
I've found but was wondering what else could be an option? Has anyone tried a different device that works well with ML setup?

JVC BTA 100. Not easy to install but worth it. Allows quick action button for pause/play and seek. Best of all it doesn't take up the power port and the quality of sound does not diminish. Highly Recommend.

Good point regarding the fact that it doesn't need a power source, how many devices can you connect to it?

Hello all..
2007 lexus ls460l.. I want to stream music from my ipad via bluetooth to the aux in port inside the center armrest console. I've seen some possible solutions out there but I'm sure someone here has got the best set-up. I don't want to mess the the inner workings of the dash.. Just want to pop in a bluetooth adapter into the aux in port, power it with the electrical outlet next to it, sync it to the ipad and let the kiddies play songs controling the ipad from the backseat.
Is this possible?
Thanks?

let me know how you set it up? Isn’t there a cheaper way of just placing I pad mini and using iPhone to six and mirroring it to use the touch pad on I pad?

I have used a BT module similar to this ( https://a.co/d/4K0xNbn ) for many years now with good results. It is small and plugs directly into Aux port with no additional cables. And you can plug in a charging cable from the power port in the console.

You're responding/asking a thread from 2013. Lots of things have changed since then with technology. There is a forum specifically about electronics for the LS.
