Default How often do you guys change the ac filter?

We bought our car I believe late last November as a CPO and we've put on nearly 5k miles (its really not used that much)...and the car is asking to replace the a/c filter...I have 2 questions:

1) How often do you guys replace it?

2) Can this be done for free as we've had the car less than one year CPO and / or what is the cost?

Thanks!

Every 6-12 months it takes less than a few minutes, you can buy the filters on ebay from a variety of venders for about 15.00 shipped

Probably won't be done for free at the dealership. To certify a car they do the service due at the time. The ac filter was inspected during the certification process and found to be good or the light was not on they will say its your responsibility to replace.

took less than 2 min to replace mine, especially if you have nothing in the glove compartment in the way to get the little tray out..probably 5 min tops if you have a rear filter also..much easier than my dang Acura TL
