Default Best way to get contacts from iPhone to car?

I'm wondering what the best way is to transfer contacts from the iPhone running OS4 to the cars BT phone book? Your suggestions would be greatly appreciated

you can't do it directly. best bet is to copy contacts to sim, put the sim in another phone, and then transfer it using the other phone

I had no problems transferring my contact list from my 3Gs but at the time it was running an earlier OS - not OS4. They transferred quickly just following the prompts. The only issue is that it put them in first name, last name which is opposite to how they're stored on the phone.

Is there something about OS4 that prevents the automatic transfer?

Prior LS460 models to 2010, it's not possible to transfer contacts directly.

transferring my iphone 4 contacts to my 2010 ls460 worked perfectly.

the iphone/navigation/ipod system persuaded me to get a 2010 - i probably would have bought a 2008 or 2009 instead. But, i keep cars for a while, so i wanted the proper integration. I still say that my iphone's navagon app is better than the nav in my 2010.

I tried and it was stuck on "transferring" for about 1/2 hour so I cancelled. I only had about 180 contacts.

For the LS460 '07-'09, the only way to do it is as rominl suggested. Copy all your contacts to another phone (supported by Lex) and then from that phone to your LS.

The only other option is to get yourself a 2010 LS460!
