HEADSUP! Front seat comfort TSB and another TSB
I had my front seats redone on 2008 ls460 for comfort.
The driver side replaced leather and pad.
The passenger side replaced the entire seat bottom.
Don't know why the different processes.
Also, during the replacement, the tech told me that they had damaged a part where the seat belt retracts to. He said there is a TSB to replace this part because it is so easily damaged.
I am not sure exactly what part this is or the TSB number. Just wanted to post a heads up FWIW.
Everything under warranty.
The seats are much more comfortable now!
Now trying to decide whether or not to replace the front windows.

i think the seat bottom creates some pressure points after awhile in the car. what type of issues did you have that prompted you to follow up on the problem ?

I've seen several posts about seat replacement, and I scratch my head.
I also have a 2008, and I think the seats are superb. It must have affected only some of them ... ?

I will say I drove my car from Orange County to San Francisco over Thanksgiving and when we got up there my lower back was killing me. This is an interesting post.

My glutes are better than your glutes...
Yea, but that's because you have a very big glute!
Like I should be throwing stones.

I have a 2008 LS LWB and both my wife and I felt the seats were not that comfortable on a long drive (SoCal to Reno). Saw the post on the TSB and brought the car into the dealer (Park Place Lexus, Mission Viejo) and they had not heard of the TSB (i brought in a copy) and they performed the repairs. I picked up the car a couple of days later and i noticed a difference but not a great difference. My wife and i both think the seats are not that comfortable for this caliber car. my 2004 ES had seats that were much more comfortable and my 2002 ML500 is much more comfortable on a long drive.
