In trying to read the oil dip stick in my LS460, the oil tends to remain on the lower section as I drag it out. Not sure what the reading is. The dip stick is a different shape then on my LS430, which could easily be read. There may be a special techique in withdrawing after the stick has been wiped.

did you check it out in the manual, it tells you how to read it, i recall similar to that of other cars. i think you have to run the car for a while first?
