00 400 to 09 460 AWD
Picked up a 09 460 AWD on Wednesday, anything I should be on the lookout for? Sounds like I have a hub bearing going out on the drivers front and I'm probably going to have to replace front strut tower mounts soon. Also, need to figure out a way to get either usb or bluetooth audio from my phone, don't like the aux cord option. Lastly, remote start suggestions? Coming out of a 00 400 Platinum Edition, the only thing I'm regretting so far is not holding out for one with ML audio, the Nakamichi system on the 400 still impresses me, going to have to look at options to pump up the low end for the new car.
BTW, if anyone is interested in an 00 400 with 209k on it, let me know.

You can get a bluetooth adapter that plugs in to the aux socket on your car. But it also disconnects the built-in bluetooth phone capability. If you hide the adapter in the console, then obviously, the microphone on the device is in there also. I gave up and stuck with the aux cord.

Also, there is another option that allows you to keep BT and still get streaming: http://www.vaistech.com/product/mml-t1/
Works totally differently from using the Aux input and the info even shows up on the main display.

Gratz on the new ride. Once you get it sorted, you should have a pretty solid car to enjoy. If you're wanting bluetooth audio from your phone, I think this is what you'll want to check out: http://www.vaistech.com/product/sl3b-l/

I can attest to how great the Vais SL3B unit is. BT streaming is flawless and as stated already, song titles are displayed on the Nav screen and all controls from the steering wheel (track and vol) are all fully functional, just like a factory BT system.

Glad to see people have had good experiences with the vias unit, also strongly looking at the Grom unit as well. Now I just need to figure out what I want to do for a sub.

While I am a huge JL Audio W7 series fan, Kicker amongst others make quality subs. Same goes for amplifiers. All that said, the bass in the 460 with the ML is satisfactory. Certainly not the JL 12W7 ProWedge I had almost a decade ago, but... That car also had Focal separates front and rear and some other ridiculous things. Gosh, I miss that system.

Not really looking to throw a box in there, prob going to look at free air solutions that just use the space in the rear package shelf. JL Audio is the only way I roll, and MTX amps And I was about to poo poo your suggestion of tapping the rear speaker wires for signal in the name of "sound quality", but I realized that I just said I was going free air over a box :/
