Anyone has comments on: 2009 LS460, Code B1S1 P2195
2009 LS460, 38k miles, 5 days ago, when driving normally, an error message appeared on the dashboard screen: "Check VSC System, have your vehicle checked by a dealer", with three orange warning lights: Check engine light, VSC light, and the warning sign light.
Car was sitting in garage for 15 days before driving it.
Took the car to dealer. Dealer found the code B1S1 P2195, saying that the air-fuel ratio sensor needs to be replaced. parts + labor = $506. This is part of the emission warranty, which already expired.
Dealer also mentioned that this is not critical issue, and wont affect my driving too much.
wondering if anyone has seen this issue before, really did not expect this to happen for a LS460 with relative low mileage of 38k miles.
Called Lexus US office to let them know about this experience. they promise to call me back on possible solutions.

Lexus Test Driver
I knew a couple of weeks ago mines threw a code or 2 and I was freaking out and i knew my battery was dead so i tried to start it. went to autozone they said the battery was good all in all it ended up clearing itself so maybe it was voltage issue do a google search (check engine light vsc ls460) and it will probabbly bring back to this site with others with the issue. hopefully it clears.

followup
Thanks for the comments/advice.
I called the Lexus USA, and they contacted the dealer about this issue. Lexus USA then called me:
1. the car is out of warranty, for this emission related issue
2. the repair cost is reduced by $150 if I goto that dealer for repair.
better than nothing, I think I'll just get it fixed in the dealer.
Thanks again everyone,
hopefully this story would benefit others with the same issue.
