LS 460 pcs warning light and system fault triangle
Hi Folks
This is my first post so please excuse me if I get it wrong.
I have a 2007 LS 460 with active cruise and lane keep assist (LKA)
All works fine during daylight hours but if I drive at night I get the yellow Fault Triangle together with pcs warning and instruction to have system checked by the dealer.
The dealer says that there are no fault codes showing on the diagnostic system.
Any ideas???
Thanks

I don't think this would be related to the PCS Braking disable switch, but just in case, check this thread: https://www.clublexus.com/forums/ls4...w-about-2.html

Thanks for this JM. I don't think I have this switch on my car but I will check. It seems strange that everything works fine in daylight but not when it's dark. I didn't mention that the cruise system continues to work, It is only the LKA system that fails.

If your car has the DRCC then it very likely has has the PCS Braking Disable switch. It is difficult to see the switch. You have to put your head under the dash, back on the floor, in the driver's footwell, and look up.
Here is a picture that might help you better understand where to look. This car did not have the DRCC but I have indicated on the picture where the PCS Braking Disable switch would be.

You are absoluely correct JM - the switch is there but it doesn't make any difference. However I have noticed that the nearside (LHS) headlamp starts to flicker after about a minute and I'm sure that this must be the problem. I'm going to need a new bulb (looks like a fun job to fit!!!). Anyway thanks for all your help with this.
PS Any idea what the small **** adjacent to the tyre pressure set switch does?? It doesn't seem to feature in the European handbook.

The **** adjusts the volume of the audible feedback from wireless key operations such as locking the doors and trunk and the audible feedback from lock and unlock operations using the door handles and trunk button. Maximum volume would be fully counter clockwise and off would be clockwise into the detent - sort of counterintuitive.
Be sure to leave the PCS Braking Disable switch in the ENABLED position - that would be when the switch button is out, again sort of counterintuitive
The headlamp flickering may be the beginning of end-of-life cycling of the HID bulb.

Hi,
I go back up this old post, but did you resolve the problem?
Because I have exactly the same problem on my 2007' LS 460 and the dealer finds nothing.
Thank you in advance

I solved the problem.
The problem is a Xenon bulb that is starting to die.
I replaced my two D4S Xenon bulbs (it's easy to do) and the problem never came back.
