Aftermarket HID bulbs melting housing ??

Lightbulb Aftermarket HID bulbs melting housing ??
ok soo i have a quick question i wanna install 6k bulbs in my factory housings but i was told if i go over the factory 4300k it will melt the plastic trim ring that is used in between the bulb and oem housing any truth in this ??

Lol..4300k. 6000k...8000k are just COLOR temperatures..not heat temps. I recommend 5k 35watt bulbs..nicer color than oem IMO. But some folks have reported that their aftermarket hid bulbs have gone out earlier than oem.

thats what i figured but i still wanted to ask to be sure dont you have getrax 6k bulbs in your low beams ??
