central display screen not working
Hey guys, got an 07 LS460 without navi but it still comes with a screen. Last week, the display started to work only intermittently and got pretty pissed. Last night was driving without the screen, but when a passenger stepped in, the jolt kinda made it work all over again. However, this morning it didnt work again.
I brought it to the stealership today and they claimed that the fuses are all working and its the screen that is spoiled and has offered to replace it for about 12kUSD.
So guys what do you recommend me doing. But first im gonna try to remove the battery for 20mins tonight to see if it gets better. Thanks Heaps.

If the fact that a passenger got it and the jolt of them getting in made it work, I'd say its a loose connection somewhere. Maybe a plug somewhere. I'd probably try and pull the unit out and see if there are any plugs disconnected back there. For 12 grand, you can probably get an entire system installed with navi in there.

Thanks guys, appreciate the replies. Brought the car home, took the battery out for 20mins and voila; all is working like new. The diagnosis from the stealership is obviously
Another thing is that i realised that theres multiple pry parks around the corner of the display screen and its obviously caused by a flathead screwdriver when the stealership attempted to remove the display screen. Any human with common sense would have used a dash pry tool isnt it. Are these marks possible to be repaired or I've got to replace the whole dash? What sort of action should i take against them?
