Default Leather seats in the South during summer

I live in the South and my wife's car has the garage these days.

I want to get tinted windows this summer and was wondering if anyone every puts anything on their leather seats to make sure they do not crack? I have no cracking and I want to keep it that way.

I live in Texas and it's hot. My windows are tinted plus I have a garage. I occasionally use Armor All on my leather seats and interior. No issues or cracking.

I've used Lexol for years. I'm actually out and wondering if there's anything similar to consider as a replacement.

I use Zaino leather cleaner and the conditioner. I have also heard good things about Lexol and Leatherique. Just be sure that whatever you use does not contain silicone. For more info visit the Automotive Care and Detailing forum.

Here is one other protective measure. I bought this for my Ferrari because the leather dash and leather rear deck panel are prone to shrinkage. It is small, light and fast to apply -

More often in the Summer. In the winter...maybe twice. In the Summer...once a month with the Lexol and once a week or two for the 303 to give the UV protection.

Hey gang there are some fine products out there for your glass that will significantly cut down on the Infra-Red, UV and heat inside your vehicle. I would check into those especially in the hot southern summers. You don't need the dark tint to be effective, btw. You can choose how much or how little tint is there. There is a product- "Spectra PhotoSync", installed by Premiere Protective Films International out here in California (Bay Area) that is magnificent. It is not metallic based and will not futz with your radar-based goodies if you have/use them.

I am not an employee or relative of an employee for Premiere, btw.

Default Tinted Windows Are Essential

I live in Dallas and always have my windows tinted as part of the purchase. Be sure you ask for the maximum legal level of tint to ensure you protect your interior and yourself. There are darker tints out there but you can get a ticket and a mandate to remove the darker tint. I had that happen when I relocated to Virginia for an assignment. They made me replace the front window tint for a lighter legal shade, a huge job. I have mine done the same on all the windows (side & back) but it is possible you are legal to have the back three darker, check your laws.
