Did the rear brakes today. Raybestos brake wear sensors are: part numbers EWS104 for the front and EWS105 for the rear. Perfect fit and I only paid 11.52 each with free shipping on eBay. Dealer wanted like 75-80.00 including my discount For 11.52, why bother with trying to repair the sensor?
My sensor triggered the dash warning at just the right time. If I would have driven for maybe another week or so or another 500 miles, my rotors would have been destroyed.
As for pads, I never do dealer. I feel Auto Zone offers some of the best ceramic pads and they come with a limited lifetime warranty. If you have any issues, they take them back no questions asked. All clips, shims, hardware are always included, they even include anti squeal paste.
I didnt resurface the rotors and so far so good. If I dont have any vibration when stopping, I dont bother with resurfacing. I have had good experiences not resurfacing throughout the years. If I have the slightest vibration when braking, I replace the rotors. Be careful not to impact gun your wheels on and or wash your hot wheels and brakes right after driving and almost any rotors will provide years of use.

The brakes never made any type of noise nor did I notice any type of change in the braking.
I went back on my calendar and came up with a pretty accurate mileage log and found that I only driven ~200 miles after the sensor came on. My SA says that I may have a 100 mile tolerance on the sensor. I asked if they could leave the sensor off and he said that the light would stay on.
I have the touring package that includes the larger brakes so I was expecting to get hit with an up-charge on brakes, which I did. $325 for rear brakes + $150 for the sensor. That's a handy little 46% token surcharge on my already very expensive brakes. What a fantastic ripoff!

Front brake pad sensor LS460
I have a 2011 LS460 (Sport package). My brake pad indicator came on telling me pads needed replacement. I purchased the 6 caliper new front pads with new sensor wires. I replaced both front left & right.
When I turned on the ignition the display indicated that the left front pad needed replacement.
I removed the wire sensor cleaned connections but the same problem keeps showing up, any ideas??
