Keyfob Weak Signal
My 04 LS430 has been problem free until now. Well, at least it's a small issue.
My keyfobs, all 4 are not working as it should. New car battery and all new keyfob batteries.
I need to press lock 4-6 times until the signal is transmitted. The range is no problem but I still need to press it 4-6 times before anything happens.
Any ideas what to look for? Can it be the transmitter? Where's that located?

Have you pulled out your manual and gone through the "Smart Key" system?
There are countless key settings and there is also the chance that you may have accidentally hit one of the key buttons near the steering wheel. The key system has so many "features" and options that, to be able to control all of them, leaves a lot of vulnerabilities for tripping the system in a way you didn't intend. Even though it takes upwards of 40 pages in the owner's manual, I'd start by going through the key system to make sure it was in order before I paid someone else to do it.

All 4 is suspicious....I was only given 2 masters, and one broke apart when replacing the battery. (the switch for the key blade now is duct tape lol) Initially, my driver side door actuator was not functioning.
The black button on the door worked, but the unlock did not. Once the actuator was replaced, everything worked as designed.
Seeing the internals of the smart key, it would seem eventually it would wear out by being pressed over years, but in this case, all 4 not working is curious....

Everything works as it should. It's just the fact that my first push of the lock button on the key fob NEVER works. I have to keep pushing it 4-6 times.
I've had this car for 2 years and it started a few weeks ago.
