# 75531-50040. http://www.lexussouthatlantaparts.co...553150040.html

Some windshield installers use a plain black plastic/rubber molding, Warm. There's a thread about it.

He is asking about the driver's door, not the windshield.

Is this the very thin seal that runs from the top of the door and seals with the body of the car?

Thanks

Yes, this is the "upper" stripping that seals the gap between the door and the body of the car. It was the first project I did to mine after I bought it. The upper stripping was pealing on all four doors. This was a super easy repair. I've attached an image of the stripping in question.

Also, here are all four part numbers, if you need them:

Front Driver: 67864-50030
Front Passenger: 67863-50030
Rear Driver: 67888-50030
Rear Passenger: 67887-50030

Both fronts have two clips at the bottom that fasten them down. I broke all but one. Save yourself the headache and order some of these replacement clips (two per each front stripping): 90467-08219

Thanks Marc.
Upon removing the clips a bit of soapy water and the seal slips out then the reverse? Starting from which end worked best for you?

Thanks for the heads up

Marc,

Thanks for info on this one, and especially the comment about buying the replacement clips for the fronts.

I bought a set of four strips (and four clips) from Lexus of South Atalanta (www.lexussouthatlantaparts.com), and installed them on my 2005 LS430 today. Took about 2 hours, although the project also involved the usual extra stuff (cleaning, application of Mother's Back-to-Black on the all the door sills and doors, etc.).

The replacement clips for the weather stripping seem to be part no. 90467-05157 and not 90467-08219.

$36 - Front Driver: 67864-50030
$36 - Front Passenger: 67863-50030
$0,88 - Cips 90467-05157 (2 clips needed for each side)

$74 - Rear Driver: 67888-50030
$74 - Rear Passenger: 67887-50030
$0.88 - Cips 90467-05157 (2 clips needed for each side)
