Default Weird Vibration

Hi everyone,

My 2006 LS430 has had this weird vibration for some time now. It only occurs around the 25mph mark both while accelerating and decelerating. It feels like it is coming from one of the back wheels possibly the back right. I do not feel it any other time it is not worse while turning or anything else. I had lexus check it when I first bought the car and they claimed it was an out of balance wheel. They balanced all four wheels and gave me the car back. Still did not fix the problem. Seemed a little better (could have been my imagination) but it did not fix the problem. Took it back to lexus and they said "older tires that have fissuring, replacement needed soon" So I have lived with the problem hoping when it was time for new tires the problem would go away. A few weeks ago I got new michelin primacy tires but I am still have the annoying vibration. I would also like to mention I have ruled out a bad rim because I felt the problem when I had my alloy 18" sport rims on the car and still have the problem now with a new set of chrome 18" sport wheels as well.

Any ideas guys? I am stumped. Thanks!

I believe that others, more knowledgeable than I, will post but I think it sounds like a transmission mount.
To check on this, put your hand on the shift **** and see if you can feel the vibration.

Could possibly be a wheel bearing.

Can they go bad at any mileage? The car only has 30K miles on it.

Any way to test for a bad bearing at home without a lift?

Well one way is to take temperature of each side and see if it's running hotter. When it starts to get worse it will be obviously noisy.

I think it would be very unlikely that you could have a bad transmission mount that caused a vibration that felt like it was in a wheel but didn't affect the shift ****.
A wheel bearing is unlikely to cause a vibration only at a particular speed.

You don't need a lift....just ur jack n a Lil elbow grease will do...lift ur suspected wheel if there's any play might be a bearing or a spacer maybe
