Default $12 HID bulbs

As one of my headlights starting doing the ol two step, i began my search on amazon and came across these. Got some mixed reviews but a pair for $12 and free shipping with Amazon prime, you cant beat it even it. Even if they last six months you got a steal.

Amazon Amazon

Just about half the reviews are very bad.
Another junk HID pair that's even cheaper with better reviews.
I'd pass on both.
I like name brands and tops 5K..

True but its just a quick fix for a headlight thats goin on and off. It came next day so that made it even better. Im sure they last until i get the original Phillips back in there but i wanna go slightly "bluer" next time around so i may check with some vendors here on CL.

If it works for you, that's great!
Phillips makes 6K but as you know they're expensive.
Xenon Depot is said to have a decent 6K HID pair for I believe $40 or so.

Im gonna try XD out if/when these go awry. Did see a regular pair of OEM 4300k phillips on ebay for about $78 so i'll keep them i mind also. Phillips do make the Ultinon which i hear are great. Putting them on the list too.

Don't buy junky Chinese bulbs for your ls430. Go to partsgeek they sell the genuine factory koito xenon bulbs for $63.98 worth every Penny bro.

The only thing you'll be beating is your head, *IF* you're unlucky...

I've learned my lesson, even a 35W kit did damage to the chrome in my reflector housing fog lights years ago... bubbled quite a bit of the chrome in a matter of weeks.

But hey, it's only 600$ to replace a pair of [used] LS430 headlights!

Stay away from cheap no name bulbs - You get what you pay for! the glass bulb probably won't be UV cut and they will eventually damage your headlight lenses if they last that long.

A while back I was looking for nice white 6000k bulbs - here's my thread back then
