Default How to remove Clear Bra on my '04 UL??

HowdyHi:
So I buy this Garage Queen last month for my Bride (and yes, both are gorgeous and hot!!!!!), she's Moonlight Pearl (the UL ya animals, not the Bride.... Although wait a minute, she is a bit of a pearl.....), and thank God, he had the clear bra crap put on her upon purchase (again the car ya pigs...).
So, she's 10yrs old (the car...) & it did it's job and we want it off...
Any advise on removing this sticky crap?
Thanks, RW

Sorry, may have been intoxicated....
This stuff is this 3M clear plyable plastic that, out here, you pay a bunch for some shop to slice-up and then apply to the front and the mirrors of your car to deflect crap that would otherwise chip your paint.
Looks A-OK for some years, then gets a little tattered because it did it's job & deflected the crap from the paint but scared the plastic.
Local shop that performs this install wants $325 to remove.....
I think that like window tint, you get out the heat gun & carefully peel away?
Just wondering if others have dealt with this stuff.
Thx, RW

Have not tried it... but have heard that Easy off oven cleaner will remove pinstripes from cars. Possibly might work the same on the clear bra. Again... I've never tried it so can't speak to it...

I'll have to research this a bit more and report back.
I'd have a hard time getting next to my car with Easy-Off or even GoofOff which I've had good results with.
Thanks! RW

I would save yourself a LOT of time and have the shop do it. I have been installing film for 12 years and there is one thing I will not do; remove 3M film from a car. The adhesive is entirely too strong and once the film gets that old it is a real PITA to get off. I have spent 10 hours getting a small kit off of a C5 Corvette... the film peels away but the adhesive stays behind heat gun or not. Plan on having a lot of adhesive remover and plenty of blisters if you try it yourself,

Okay.. did some research and the easy off solution is for removing pinstripes that are painted on...

I was off base in suggesting this earlier... should have checked at the time.
Sorry to mislead you.

$325 is an absolute deal to let the detailer remove this. After 10 years it may be an incredible pain to remove...

I used wd40 or zippo fluid with great success with that type of adhesive.
