Fixing My Wood
My wife has managed to put a good number of light scratches (like swirl marks in paint) on the wood trim between the seats of our 2006 LS. What is the best way to get these out? I was going to use paint polish or a cleaner wax but since it's actually real wood and not plastic I'm a bit hesitant. Thanks.

Try a paint polish. Yes its wood but its covered with a lacquer or something, so it should be able to be polished like a clearcoat. How did she manage to scratch it up?

*****,
Sorry, I don't have any pictures. It's mostly just light swirl marks from dragging her purse from the passenger seat instead of picking it up and over the counsul

Treat it just as you would light scratches on the exterior of the car. Rubbing compound. Just remember the finish is polyurthene and don't go thru the finish while compounding. If you can feel a depth of the scratch with your finger nails it may be too deep to be able to fix.

Pretty sure its heavily coated with some form of acrylic lacquer or polyurethane - polish it just like you would any clear coated surface.
