Default Is retrofitting Intelligent High Beam possible?

I'm looking for information about fitting an 'intelligent high beam' kit to my LS430. It allows for automatic dipping of headlights when meeting or following traffic.
Apparently it's possible with BMWs, where they call it 'high beam assist/ant'. So, why not also on a Lexus.

Is there anyone here who knows how to go about this?

They already do this based on elevation as far as going up or down a hill. I mean that really is all you need. 98+ LS400 has it too.

Yes, 'Lavrishevo', of course you are right, I do not actually "need" auto-dipping headlights. But, I definitely would like to have them!
So, I don't suppose anybody's managed to retro-fit this to their LS430?

Anything is possible with money. But seriously the parts alone would cost a couple thousand given the fact that the system uses a camera.

Yep 'yardie876', I would also expect such a kit to cost luxuriously, especially for a Lexus.
However, regardless of price, has anyone seen an 'Intelligent High Beam Kit' (or whatever else it may be called) that could be fitted to an LS430?

I really doubt a company would manufacture a system like that for a 7-13 year old vehicle. Also, the idea of it is resolving a non problem disguised as a luxury feature. What? Rich people.can't tell a car is coming and lower their high beam?

Ok, I think I get it.
I've raised an unpopular subject that, so far, nobody's any knowledge of. Shame.

But I live in hope...

You can give up hope, no one has or ever will do this (yes I just dropped the glove challenging you to do it )

This is the sort of esoteric retrofit that has such little value (IMO) and will be so complex and costly to implement that no one will ever take it on.

Good luck with your dream and I hope you prove me wrong because I like reading about folks who do stuff like this but you won't find much help.

Would certainly be possible since this is in some of the later generation Lexus cars.

Like usual, find a donor car to salvage the necessary hardware and study the wiring diagrams. Integration of the system would have the owner pulling the dash apart and running any additional wiring to the front of the car. I could see practical use of this for those who drive the back roads in isolated areas.

Replace the rain sensor with that light sensor and wire it up to the high beams.

Yeah, basically a light sensitive switch.
Devil's in the detail, I think. Which is why I'd prefer to follow someone else's successful conversion.

According to Wikipedia this is not a new thing. Apparently "General Motors introduced the first automatic headlight dimmer called the 'Autronic Eye' in 1952 on their Cadillac and Oldsmobile models" ("Headlight" page under "Automatic beam switching")
