Default need help with led convert on mirrors

. well i have an issue. my puddle lights are turning on. i check the voltage and it reads 12 volts however on the lock position ,it should read 12 volts on the unlock position. it there a switch or fuse for just that area. i did the credit card method and tried to shove it back it and i strip two wires however connected it back and shrink wrap it good. so idk what else to say . need help anyone had this experience.

If you stripped the wires they may have shorted out. On the door itself there is a control box that handles most of the door functions on of them being the mirror and the courtesy light. You may have damaged it.

The only thing could be wrong would be a fuse . Or something. Everything on door still works . N their is current flowing through . Jz not at the right time

There is no fuse for that. If it was a fuse the light wouldnt come on at all.

true thanks just found that out from a mechanic. im about to get a wiring diagram for it. maybe a diode in it . who knows i want this thing fix. ill check that control box.
