This Shin Etsu cream is really great and my LS430 is silent going down the road.

Thought I would revive this for the hell of it. I was starting to get a few creaks here and there and maybe a little more wind noise in the beautiful silence that is the LS430's cabin. Whipped out my tube of Shin Etzu and treated all the rubber. Just used a clean damp cloth to wipe down any grime or dirt that build up. Particularly on the bottom pieces at the doors. Also re-treated the trunk weather stripping, under the hood, and the sunroof.
Needless to say, it is sweet silence and the rubber really thanks you for it. It's like aloe on your dry skin except it last 6 months or more. It is wonderful stuff. Still on the same tube after nearly 3 years. If you guys have not done this your rubber seals will thank you for your kindness. It really helps restore the rubber to like new condition. I use a rubber glove and massage it into all the rubber and crevices in-between. I also don't wipe off the excess off the rubber. Just off any plastic, glass, or metal.

Pole Position
Shin Etsu Grease is awesome. I love hearing my doors "peel" open after applying it to the seals. Speaking of Shin Etsu Grease, it's about time to reapply. Definitely worth the $17ish dollars.

I've used both the Shin Etzu and the Gummi Pflege. I like the Shin Etzu better. The Gummi Pflege is less messy and won't rub off on your clothes, but I think the Shin Etzu works better.

Interesting thread.
Since this Shin Etsu stuff works great on rubber, has anyone tried it on the sidewalls of a tire? I was thinking of picking up a tube of the stuff for all the seals like you guys have described, but wondering about the sidewalls of tires.
How is the luster/tackiness if you rub it in until fully absorbed? How is the luster/tackiness if you don't rub it in until fully absorbed?
If it has a consistency of Vaseline, and used on sidewalls, I'm sure it would "pick up" dirt, etc, and wouldn't be a good choice.
